Need your recipes!

So with this house payment (which is more than double what our rent is now plus our utilities) I need some money saving recipes and ideas!
I 've started baking my own bread from scratch (yum!) and making my own laundry soap (Tide is making BANK on their product) and I need some other money saving ideas! I need to save money and cut down on spending but I'm not willing to eat Ramen 4 days a week. I figured everyone would like to save a little money so I thought we should all share our favorite cheap meals and such.
One thing I do that saves a ton of money is cooking dried beans rather than using them from a can. It is super easy to do (throw a pound of beans, half an onion, 6 cups of water, and a clove of garlic in a crockpot and let it cook for several hours) and we use to spend tons of money on canned beans.
So what recipes or tips do you have up your sleeve? Do share!

Funny thought: all of the things I mentioned above, Melanie taught me. Thanks girl!

When chicken goes on sale for $1 per lb we are going to use my mom's pressure caner and can you some chicken!
