A sad story....

Well Im sitting here at my computer bawling and thinking about how blessed I am. I just got news that the Nelsons (a family in my ward) little boy, Lucas, passsed away last night at about 11pm. He had cancer and until about last week they really thought he might make it, he was doing well with his tumor shrinking and then they found out it spread to his brain.
I dont know them that well, but I took them dinner last night and I know they have so much faith in the Plan of Salvation and that while his passing is bitter, there is also a little tiny bit of sweetness as they know he doesnt have to suffer anymore and is with his Father in Heaven now! Anyway, if you want to read up on them a little, here is a link to their blog:

Now im going to go to the bathroom and get some tissues because my shirt is soaked and my face is black (I should know as a very emotional pregnant woman to stop wearing mascara that isnt water-proof)!

That's really hard. We had a family in our ward who's son passed away from cancer. He was 12 and just recieved the priesthood. That was about 10 years ago. It was really sad,it still is sometimes. I use to babysit him. The family is still in our ward and are a great example to all of us.

I bawled. So sad. That family picture of Lukas in his mommy's arms.... still crying.
Cancer sucks.
I am so grateful to have the gospel -and that they have it too! to know that families can be together forever. That would be the only thing to help me make it through.
