Cool dudes and cookies

We visited dad at work the other day for "cool dudes and cookies". It use to be "dads and dougnuts" and it makes me wonder, did they change it because of the economy (a cookie costs a lot less than a doughnut) or because of the way families are these days (not everyone has a "dad" to come to one of these events, but picking a "cool dude" isnt too hard with grandpas, brothers, moms boyfriend to choose from).
