Make a bow!

I've had a few people ask me to teach them to make bows so I am going to have a little get-together this Thursday at 7:00 to make some bows. I will provide large aligator style metal clips and you can bring a few bunches of flowers and and centers you might want to use. We'll make some super cute ones and it will be fun toget away from the kids for an hour and let our creative juices (or lack thereof) flow!

Thank You

I just have to send out a post to all of my friends out there and say THANK YOU! Last week was soooo rough. I started suffering morning sickness and was overwhelmed with that, kids, a trashed house, and two wedding cakes due on Saturday! I didn't feel good enough to be a mom, much less clean my house so it was usable to bake/ decorate wedding cakes.
On Tuesday I made a quick call to Alisa to cry to her and within 10 minutes she and Melanie were over at my house cleaning (and Alisa also brought half a ondanstron that made me feel TONS better). No one has ever done that for me before! Later that week billy took off work to stay home and in 1 day we got all 16 cakes baked. Later, Stephanie came over to my house and played with the kids and then watched cam on Saturday while Melanie took Ava. Chelsey was so sweet and brought me a whole bag of goodies and my visiting teachers Wendy and Erica took Ava for a few hours one afternoon to the park to play.
I would not have made it through last week without all of this help! So often I feel like I'm alone. My husband leaves for work and the children, food, house (everything basically), is all up to me and it can be overwhelming without wedding cakes and morning sickness. So thank you everyone for helping me out; I'm so grateful for my angels!

Avas haircut

Well, I've been soooo nauseous all day (only threw up once though) but I at least wanted to post one update. Last week Chelsy was kind enough to come over and give Elayna and Ava hair cuts. We couldn't actually get Ava to sit in the chair, but managed to cut her hair later while she was distracted and playing with her barbies in the sink. I think it turned out adorable!

No more binks....

I didnt want to leave things on such a sour note today. So I decided to update and mention Avas latest accomplishment.... She has now gone longer without a binky than she has since she was about 6 months old! When mom mentioned that Alana was off the bink, I decided it was definitely time for Ava. So we talked to her about it, bought her a $2 bear from wal-mart (to have something else that comforts, sooths, and helps her sleep) and she hasn't had one for more than 36 hours! It was especially hard at first when she literally cried for 2 hours saying "I want my bink!" But since that time she has only mentioned her binky a handful of times and we say "no more binkies, but we get bear!!!"

Hopefully the hardest part is over and we can be baby free for a while before another baby with more binks join the house!

Laundry...

Bar dishes, its my least favorite thing to do. My whole house can be clean, dusted, scrubbed, and polished, and still there is bound to be a large pile of clean laundry sitting on my couch just waiting to be folded. I don't know why I dislike it so much- maybe its the fact that its never ending and no matter how hard you try or how much you get done, by the end of the day there is going to be a load of dirty laundry waiting to be washed the minute everyone changes into their P.J.s

Well, my house is perfectly clean right now, except for this... (roughly 10 loads)





I know what your thinking- How can a family of four people have that much laundry at one time? My answer: I have no clue.
